My Publishing Journey

Explore my journey as an author and publisher. Discover the challenges and triumphs that shaped my writing career.

From Writer to Self Publisher

My path to becoming a published author wasn’t a straight line — it was a series of lessons, missteps, breakthroughs, and moments where I had to decide whether I was going to quit or keep going. I didn’t come into this industry with a roadmap. I learned everything the hard way, one decision at a time.

I wrote because I had something to say. I published because I refused to wait for permission.

Self‑publishing wasn’t just a choice — it was a declaration. A decision to trust my voice, my vision, and my ability to bring my work into the world without waiting for someone else to validate it. I had to learn how to format, design, upload, revise, market, and advocate for myself. Every step taught me something I didn’t know I needed.

I learned how to navigate platforms that weren’t built with clarity in mind.
I learned how to fix problems no one could explain.
I learned how to stand up for my work when systems failed me.
I learned how to keep going even when the process felt overwhelming.

But I also learned the power of independence — the freedom to write what I want, publish how I want, and build a creative life on my own terms.
Self‑publishing made me more than an author.

It made me a builder.
A problem‑solver.
A strategist.
A creator with full control over my work.

This is just a glimpse into that journey — the part where I realized I wasn’t just writing books.

I was building something meaningful, something lasting, something that belongs entirely to me.
